Online Credit Recovery Programs
Keystone's credit recovery program allows high school and middle school students to earn credits in courses they did not pass the first time around. Enroll now!
Your student can take charge of their learning and get back on track toward earning a high school diploma with Keystone's online credit recovery program. The program is designed to help students earn middle or high school credits in courses they didn't pass the first time around.
Nearly 36,000 students have experienced the flexibility and convenience of our online credit recovery program.
There's no need to wait until summer school to work on recovering credit. Students can enroll in credit recovery courses at any time. Before enrolling, students and parents should first request approval from their school counselor, principal, or other authorized school official at their school of record to ensure credits can be recovered.
Keystone's online high school credit recovery courses feature an easy-to-use interactive format that makes it easy to jump back into lessons each time you log in. Log in to continue your coursework anytime and anywhere an internet connection is available.
If you are a middle school student, Keystone's credit recovery courses are offered in our print format only. High schoolers will find some courses are in print format, some are online, and some are available in both formats.
Credit recovery semester courses require a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 8 weeks to complete. When enrolling in full year courses, these will be split into 2 semester sections. Additional time can be requested by your school counselor as needed.
School counselors, school administrators and/or parents can enroll students in our credit recovery courses to recover lost high school credit based on a failing grade. Students have 4 weeks per semester course to complete their enrollment but can complete courses sooner.
Get started with Keystone's Credit Recovery
When families look for help to get their children's grades moving in a positive direction, many find that Keystone's credit recovery program is the ideal solution. Self-paced courses can be started at any time, and our credit recovery program is a perfect way to retake courses previously failed and get back on schedule to graduate on time.
Credit recovery units are not intended as original credit and do not re-teach content for an entire course. Students complete short-term coursework for credit, which is awarded at their school's discretion.
Keystone accepts enrollments in credit recovery courses from students who have been previously enrolled in a course but failed to achieve a passing grade.
Before enrolling in credit recovery courses, Keystone recommends that students first request approval from their school counselor, principal, or other authorized school official at their school of record. When you have successfully completed the course, Keystone will notify your school, which may then choose to award credit for the course at their discretion.
Students will submit assignments based on their type of enrollment or course selection:
Once work is received, teachers evaluate gradable work within a 72-hour timeframe. Final grades will be sent to the student and the school on file, and the school will award credit at its discretion.
Students in online courses submit multiple assignments during their enrollment, complete the courses and submit their work to Keystone for evaluation. All submissions for the print courses need to be uploaded and sent through the Keystone student application.
Online credit recovery courses are broken into Part A and Part B, corresponding to the first and second semester of a full-year course, and each part consists of approximately 60 hours of coursework.
When a student takes only the first or second part of an online credit recovery course, tuition for that one-semester course is $116. If a student needs to recover credits for a full-year course and takes both online parts in sequence, tuition for the combined two-semester/one year course is $155 total.
No shipping and handling fees apply. All course materials are available online and assignments are submitted electronically*.
